Use the Kitchen Timer App to Keep Yourself and Your Students on Track

Share

When I give students time to work on individual or group tasks during a lesson I often struggle to keep track of the time. One of the tactics that I’ve used to remedy that over the years is to use some type of timer that sounds an alarm when time has expired. Kitchen Timer is a free Android app that I recently installed for the purpose of keeping track of time during workshops and lessons.

Kitchen Timer is a simple Android app. To use it just select the clock that is closest to the amount of time that your activity is planned to run for. Then adjust the clock to the exact amount of time that you want to count down. When time is up an audible alarm is sounded. You can select from eight different alarm tones including an unmistakable rooster call.
