AndrOpen Office Puts Open Office on Your Android Device

Screen Shot 2013-12-28 at 4.44.17 PM Before I became a devoted Google Documents user, Open Office was my office suite of choice. I liked Open Office because of the wide range of file format types that it supported. In fact, I still have Open Office installed on a couple of computers for those times when I have a file sent to me that I cannot properly open in Google Drive. AndrOpen Office brings the file format flexibility and productivity tools of Open Office to your Android tablet (it will work on phones too, but the small screen would make it difficult to work with).

AndrOpen Office supports the import of many common file types including DOC, TXT, PPT, and XLS. On the export side of the equation AndrOpen Office supports all of the previously mentioned formats as well as PDF, HTML, PNG, JPG, and SWF.

If Google Drive isn’t for you, give AndrOpen Office a try. It might also be worth installing just to have another option for creating documents and presentations or ¬†for editing files that have been sent to you and opened on your Android tablet.
