Welcome to Android 4 Schools.

If you’re here, chances are good that either you are currently using Android devices in your school or you are considering using Android devices in your school. Either way, you’ve come to a good place to learn about Android apps for students and teachers.

What this blog provides:

Reviews of apps (mostly free ones) that are appropriate for use in K-12 settings. And some suggestions about how those apps could be used by students, teachers, and school administrators.

Reviews of Android-powered tablets for use in K-12 schools.

Are you the same Richard Byrne of Class Connect?

I don’t work for Class Connect but I was a guest on one of their podcasts. Otherwise I don’t have any affiliation with them.

Thanks for this fabulous site. Our school is researching iPad vs. Droid tablets and we have rolled out 4 of teach to 8 test teachers. While I can easily find iPad schools to visit, I’m having a hard time locating Android schools. Would you be able to recommend schools that effectively use Android tablets in the classroom?
    Thanks so much!

I work with a teacher who would like to mirror his Android device to his projector. Any app suggestions?
